My name is Gail Ross and I lost 28 pounds, 30 inches, and 25% of my total body fat (it went from 33.8 to 25.3%) during the 12 Week Fitness Challenge. I was totally tired of being tired when I heard about the 12 Week Fitness Challenge and decided to JUST DO IT. Reality had finally set in and denial was no longer an option: I weighed more than I had weighed during either of my pregnancies, I was uncomfortable in my own skin, I hated trying to figure out what to wear (or, more accurately, what FIT me anymore), I was on medications for high blood pressure, depression and low thyroid, and -- plain and simple -- I wanted to feel better about MYSELF ! I always exercised regularly, so clearly I needed to focus on the FOOD portion of the equation.
The 12 week fitness challenge was different than anything else I had ever done because of the following reasons:
There were no MAGIC pills or empty promises: They told us it would be hard and it is. Eating healthy every day takes WAY more of a commitment than just agreeing to exercise every day. It takes PLANNING and COMMITMENT. You are taught to fuel your body with the right stuff, then burn it off and keep it off! The one hour a day commitment of working out was indeed the easiest part. Coping with stressful and emotional life situations -- without turning to food as the answer -- was a new and important lesson for me. Learning to turn down what I may have wanted right now for what I ultimately want in the long run has become my focus. Avoiding temptation and food pushers that exist everywhere is hard...I've learned to realize that those foods and people do not have control over me unless I allow them to!! Plus, the way my body FEELS after eating junk food is not worth it to me anymore. Wine makes me sluggish and puffy (although I may still choose to indulge OCCASIONALLY, but with less volume and frequency)
The first 10 days of the 12WFC consisted of a "cleanse" ~ a word that had always seemed daunting to me... (think visions of starving and being trapped in a bathroom!). However, this was a HEALTHY cleanse; one where you actually could eat REAL food! Shakes and supplements were taken daily as directed, but they were balanced out with food and I never once felt hungry. Cutting out processed foods and sugars made my body feel amazing! I even had to travel during this time and managed to stay on track.
Working out with a heart rate monitor was something I had never done before, either. Learning the difference between fitness training vs. fat burning was very interesting. Scott Perry consistently challenged every muscle group in my body and his unique workouts kept my body guessing, which helped it respond to the exercise program even more.
Another bonus is that my husband tells me that I no longer snore! Carrying extra weight puts stress on more than just your joints and organs...it affects your ability to breathe properly. I feel much more rested, too!
Nutrition: I was provided with guidance and feedback on my food logs, which really helped me identify "trigger" foods and poor choices. I finally understood the necessity of replenishing my body with PROTEIN during the weight loss process. I learned that some foods and beverages or not worth the calorie counts!
Body Fat: I had never been accurately measured for body fat before like I was at Fitness Wave. 12WFC counseled me on how to perform the body fat test since I had never done it before and helped me set realistic goals.
Community: I felt that I was part of a FAMILY on FB and at SPF. Everyone has down days or weeks, and the fact that there were other challengers to reach out to made a huge difference to me. I also learned to not JUDGE people on their individual body struggles. I was so self-conscious when I started, but everyone has different struggles and they are each very REAL struggles and should not be discounted or criticized.
Medications: Part of my goal of joining 12WFC was to be healthy enough to stop taking all of my existing medications (high blood pressure, thyroid, anti-depressant). I had blood work done and my doctor confirmed that I could STOP all medications during this challenge. I feel so much better knowing that I no longer need them!! This was the BIGGEST success of all !!!
This challenge has been a life changer for me. My kids are learning how to eat healthier and will hopefully incorporate healthy changes into their future lifestyles away from home. I would highly recommend the 12WFC to anyone needing to lose weight or if you just want to get in the best shape of your life !!! You won't be sorry !!

My name is Ivette, I am 42 years young and a proud single mother to my 18 year old son. I want to share my journey with you all, to encourage and empower anyone that thinks the fountain of youth does not exist.
I grew up in a typical Hispanic household, where whatever was served for food was eaten and you had to finish all of it out of respect. So my whole life I was "full". It never really bothered me much until I turned 30 and everything started to slow down. 40 was even worse and I realized I was getting more set and comfortable in my unhealthy state; until 12wfc was introduced to me and changed my life. I met a group of guys that were motivated in making a change, so I jumped right in, "if a they can do it, so can I".
Finding out my body fat content made me want to cry. It was definitely humbling to say the least. At 43.7% body fat, I was well on my way to a heart attack, diabetes or worse and those problems running in my family did not help my fear. I made it through my first challenge with flying colors, but decided it was well worth a few celebration months of bad eating and drinking. So I gained a lot of it back and decided to give it another try. This time having more information and a regular workout regimen my results were even better, I finally weighed the same as I did before I had my son and was feeling amazing! But as we all know, life can throw you some trials that can take us to an emotional state that is usually linked with eating or binging of some sort. And that is exactly what happened to me, bad relationship, then a even worse break up and a destructive time that, I allowed, to mess up everything I had just accomplished for myself. This became a cycle for me and I continued to play the yo-yo diet syndrome.
Round 3 or 4 (lost count) of 12wfc came late this year in 2012 and it was a new and exciting program that was fool proof!! I was not going to pass up this opportunity to join in a group of girls and guys, this time, with an awesome community and a trainer for added accountability and information that would help me really make that lifestyle change that 12wfc is all about.
November 2012 marked the end of this 12wfc at 143 lbs and 25% body fat (and dropping) with a new understanding of my body, what it can do and how you should feed it; I am at the top of my world!!! I would not trade these last 12 weeks for anything; and everything I gave up for it was well worth it. Who could ask for more? A new body, new mind, new friends and a new outlook !!
42 is just a number in my life and not age nor this life and its temptations will ever bring me down again from what I have accomplished and where I am going !!

Hi my name is Paul Moffitt; I recently completed my 12 week fitness challenge.
I recently turned 45 and have always considered myself in fairly good shape, not real overweight, healthy, etc.... That was until early this summer (June 2012), when I was walking around the house without a shirt on and my 6 year old told me that I looked fat. Children do not have a sensitivity filter so I turned and looked in the mirror and realized she was right. I thought to myself what in the world has happened over the last few years, I know the clothes were a size bigger and a little tighter. Did I really let myself go that much? I didn't think so, but it sure was starting to look that way. This wasn't my only sign, a year prior my doctor order a blood work up and instructed me to eat better and get more exercise because my good cholesterol was not so good. So I pulled out the scale and was shocked to see I was now 204 pounds.
I come from a family with some overweight family members, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, I knew I had to make a change not just for me Then I had the opportunity to participate in the 12 week fitness challenge, so prior to starting I started to eat a little better, and begin to do a little exercise.
My starting weight when I officially started my 12 WFC, I was @ 20.17% body fat and was 194.5 pounds. I set a personal goal of 10% body fat and 180lbs. I sat down with Josh Boyd, was given direction on changing food choices, how to use my Polar heart monitor, and what to expect. I was excited to get started, first up a 10 day Detox/cleanse. The first 10 days were tough, cutting out foods, sodas, candy, snacks, I had grown to love so much. Teaching my body it can do without that crap, and just eat better. The Detox/cleanse was over before I knew it, I was eating vegetables I thought I would never eat again. My diet had officially changed and my eye was on the prize, I will get in shape.
Let me introduce the get in shape part, Scott Perry. Scott is what I call the Maestro of Fitness, his ever changing workouts, his constant movement exercises, free weights, bands, pull up bars, balls, mats, etc… I have never worked out like this, he is the best at what he does. I went everyday @ 6am Monday – Friday, no exceptions, no excuses. I felt like my heart was beating on the outside of my chest at times, but I knew this was life changing. I started dropping pounds, losing inches, week after week things were looking good. I went every week to fitness wave to get my body fat %, so that I could track my progress. What can I say it worked…. proper nutrition, proper exercise was equaling unbelievable results.
I stayed true to the diet, never cheating, eating clean, eating all the right foods under the guidance of Josh, working out hard and properly under the guidance of Scott. Final results 5.78% body fat and 172 pounds, an incredible 29 pounds of fat lost, 8 pounds of lean muscle gained, approx 7" smaller around my abs. I can honestly say I even surprised myself, and shattered my own personal goals.
If you want it bad enough, you can do it. I encourage anyone who reads this that truly wants to change their life to sign up for the 12 WFC, dig deep into your soul and find your motivation. Hold that motivation close to your heart, and when it gets tough and you want to quit or cheat on the diet look to your motivation and push on. Don't ever quit, you can do it if you want it bad enough.
A BIG Thank You to the 12 Week Fitness Challenge, Scott Perry, and all the friends and family that encouraged me along the way. This has changed my life.
Paul Moffitt
Why I Got Started
Sometimes, when I look at my numerous "before" photos over the years I think that if it wasn't for the tattoos I might not believe it was really me (and you might not believe it either). For me, the number one factor to success is having the proper mindset. I learned many years ago that your thoughts will and do create your reality. I have seen this in both a positive and negative outcome.
I'm competitive by nature, both professionally and personally. The need to be the best at everything I do is what got me started. I didn't want to just be at the gym going through the motions. My goal went from losing weight to being the most in shape and fit person I know. I have always spent a lot of time in the gym, simply never got the desired payoff, as a result, I became on and off with visiting the gym. Seeing me 12 Weeks ago in the worst shape of my life is what really motivated me to change my ENTIRE lifestyle. I felt and looked overweight, not to mention I was doing all the wrong things. Lots of bad food coupled with eating out a lot.
The day my life did a complete turnaround was the day that I decided that I would never settle for anything or anyone that I didn't want, desire or deserve. So, within a blink of an eye, instead of going nowhere slowly, I was determined to live my dreams and change everything about the way I lived my life, that instant.
How I Did It
I started the 12 Week Fitness Challenge; this was my chance to prove to myself that I could completely change my mindset and body in a short amount of time and I decided that I was not merely going to follow through with it, I was going to WIN! That was the beginning of a higher quality of life for me. I began following the suggested nutrition plan to the letter and adhering to the proposed work out regiment, all the while looking to Josh Boyd, Derek Graham and Scott Perry for inspiration and direction.
I was able to go from a Starting Weight of 236.5 Pounds @ 16.48% Body Fat to 216.5 Pounds @ 4.72% Body Fat over the course of 12 Weeks and get in the best shape of my life. The feeling that I have when I look in the mirror is PRICELESS!
Since then, I have been consistent with my workouts, nutrition and proper mindset.
My goals now are to take on competing in Physique Competitions professionally and to be on the cover of a Fitness Magazine. The MOST important of all, to me, is to be able to inspire as many people as I possibly can all over the planet to get themselves motivated enough to have the determination, clarity and focus to reach their own personal goals! (Fitness or otherwise!)

Before I was given the gift of participating in the 12 Week Fitness Challenge I had no concept for what a healthy relationship with food & exercise looked like. I grew up in a food loving Texan family. When there was something to celebrate we did so with food! When we were sad, food was our comfort. When we were bored, food was our entertainment. Food brought us together on holidays & while food made me happy in the moment, ultimately food was also my worst enemy.
I went on my first official "diet" in the third grade. Even as a young child, already I felt compelled to lose weight & control this area of my life. Later in high school I went overboard with my "control" & struggled with an eating disorder, I was obsessed with food & maintaining an impossibly small number on my scale. While I thought I was controlling my weight & food intake, the reality was that it had started controlling me.
Later, when my life circumstances spiraled out of control I found myself turning again to food to escape. I was a new mom & found myself in the midst of such a painful & scary season of life as my marriage fell apart despite all of my efforts to save it. Thankfully, I had an amazing community to support me & my relationship with God to sustain me. And with space for the first time to focus on caring for myself & my daughter, the 12 Week Fitness Challenge came into my life. I was finally ready to re-write my family legacy. I wanted to figure out this area of life so I could model a healthy lifestyle for my daughter & hopefully spare her the pain, confusion & frustration I have experienced throughout my life. I want to show her healthy ways to cope in hard times & that we can celebrate the joys in life all the while maintaining a well-balanced diet. Who knew that could be possible!?
I knew that my life had changed the day Josh called me to let me know I had been blessed with this opportunity. I cried tears of joy & I may have squealed a bit too. I was finally going to be given the tools I needed to succeed!
The 12 Week Fitness Challenge offered me the perfect balance I needed in order to achieve my goals. Knowing that I had an online community to turn to when a moment of temptation would arise meant the world. Knowing that Josh & all of my fellow challengers were right alongside me on the journey helped remind me that I was not alone & that I CAN reach my goals if I stick to this. Between the nutritional guidance, accountability, clear healthy goals & AMAZING workouts with Scott Perry, The 12 Week Fitness Challenge offers the most well-rounded & healthy route to a LIFE change. Before I took the Challenge, I had tried everything & experienced discouragement over & over when my extreme efforts failed me time after time. But The 12 Week Fitness Challenge has truly transformed my relationship with food & restructured the way I prioritize my health & fitness. This was the only way I could have achieved sustainable results, results that will last a lifetime.
In 12 weeks I have lost 25 pounds, dropped 4 dress sizes, my body fat had dropped almost 40% & most of all, my story was redeemed. I have a new perspective on my "diet", I have a new found freedom with food & the gift of enjoying a healthy lifestyle forever. The trajectory of my family has shifted. I could not be more grateful for Josh, Derek & Scott & the program they have created. I knew that they truly wanted to help me change my life & their care, their education & training have done just that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! My life will never be the same.

Want to turn back the hands of time? Exercise using resistance and body weight training and eat 4-6 meals filled with whole foods each day! The 12WFC teaches you all the simple ways to accomplish this!
At the age of 47 I was diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. Unfortunate genetics and an "I will exercise and diet tomorrow" mentality got me there. The fear of dying from a heart attack anywhere, anytime finally got me into a gym and take notice of what I was eating (and not eating). I did fine for a while, relying on lots of medications and hope. I spent thousands and thousands of dollars on personal trainers. All good people with sound advice, yet even though I thought I knew what to do, I still could not be consistent. Then a friend of mine mentioned a 12 week fitness challenge. Something clicked and I told myself that I could do anything for 12 weeks. And I did.
I found myself in the midst of like-minded people, of all ages. Before joining the 12 Week Fitness Challenge, I thought I was exercising correctly. I was wrong. I thought I was a healthy eater. I was wrong. I thought the books I read were enough. I was wrong. I am now 58 years old and thank the 12WFC in making me stronger, happier and healthier in mind, body and soul.
The 12WFC has been my life saver. It is twofold. One part is based on the nutrition aspects of getting healthy and the other part is based on exercise. Both go hand in hand for lasting success.
Midway through the program I wrote to the fitness instructor and honestly told him "I feel alive again". Through his instruction and support, I feel strong and empowered. I have seen changes in by body and felt a strength and confidence that I could never attain in the past. I do need extra instruction on how to do exercises and although it is a group setting, our fitness instructor always takes notice, correcting my form or cheering me on as if he only has his eyes on me. He is amazing, as I know everyone in the class feels the same. Wearing my Pear Heart Training Coach, which was included in the 12WFC, is extra proof of my results! It gives me the instant feedback I need and also the overview of the entire workout that helps me improve the next time I exercise!
The cardio aspect, fat burn, fitness level and calories burned in each workout keep me inspired and proud of myself. Did I mention fun? Sounds crazy, but the hard work IS fun.
The nutrition aspect of the program took me by surprise. I really thought I knew the basics, what to eat, what not to eat, etc.; however, through conversations, e-mails and the 12WFC community (made up of all the other people taking this 12 Week Fitness Challenge) sharing the 12WFC page on Facebook (which I just started using when I began this program and was taught how to do it by them) has made me a BELIEVER. I want to eat whole foods and foods which help me to feel my best. Now, for the first time, I understand about how certain foods affect the body. I have learned that exercise alone will not give me the results I want. Following what I have learned about eating healthfully has me feeling more energetic and mentally sharp than I have felt in years. I use to see the same people working out hard at the gym day after day and not lose weight. I now know that the answer is exercise along with a simple to follow and sound nutrition program plan. One part of the 12WFC that helped me a great deal were that any and all questions I had regarding health, food labels, nutrition, etc. were quickly answered by the 12WFC team. I never felt alone. In the past, I became so confused each time I read an article about nutrition because they all seem either not to pertain to my needs or so contradictory to something else I had just read about. I am so grateful to benefit from a Team that has done the research, taken all of the best information and tips and concisely and clearly share them.
I now have a solid foundation for working out and eating well. I am in it for life, a good, healthy and enjoyable life.

The 12WFC came along at a great time for me. I am 40 yrs old, married with 2 kids and I run a small business, so I'm BUSY. I've always been active but never really understood the types of workouts and nutrition necessary to make the changes I wanted with the time I had available. However I wanted to make some changes and decided to do the 12 Week Fitness Challenge.
Making this temporary "commitment" made me got all out to learn as much as I could and work has hard as possible. The team at 12WFC was always there with motivational emails and promptly answered any questions I had along the way.
My exercise program before 12WFC was 3-4 days a week consisting of weight lifting, running, yoga and Jiu-Jitsu. I am a vegetarian and my nutrition was 3 meals a day and no supplements, coffee in the am and wine in the pm. I'm sure many can relate to this!
12 Week Fitness Challenge got me motivated to working out 6 days a week and eating 5x a day. During the first 6 weeks I did circuit training and running for about 1.5 hours daily. As 12WFC taught me more about high intensity interval training (HIIT) I moved primarily to this type of training. During the second 6 weeks my workouts were HIIT based and shrunk to 30 minutes a day 6 days a week.
Eating changed to high protein and lots of fresh vegetables and leafy greens. My goal was to be steady all day and avoid insulin spikes. I had one cheat meal a week and 12 WFC instructed me to keep a log of what I ate. I wrote down my daily protein and calorie totals (protein around 120g and calories around 1800). This was such an eye opener to me as I now understood the importance of eating right and not "Lying" to myself about what I ate.
Starting Weight: 155 Lbs Starting Body Fat: 10.4%
Ending Weight: 146.5 Lbs Ending Body Fat: 5.00%
There was no loss of lean mass. I only lost body fat.
The Best part is that 12 weeks was scientifically proven for being the perfect time period to solidify a new habit.
Now I have many new healthy habits! I will be telling everyone to do this challenge no matter what age, shape or size they are!

Thanks. I cannot tell you what a difference this challenge has made in my life - I feel so much better, more energy, better mood - love the exercise, have not missed anything (well maybe an occasional slice of pizza). On top of feeling good about the way I look, wearing clothes I have not worn in years, my sex life has sky rocketed etc. And I am only about 1/3 of the way to my ultimate (personal) goal. This has really been a life changer for me! I am scheduling a physical with my Doctor soon as well - cannot wait to compare to where I was last year. Thanks for your encouragement and guidance!
When I get finished, I will be a walking bill board for your program. I have been going through my closet, trying on clothes, throwing things away (especially my fat clothes!). I have been saving all of my beautiful suits, but now that I try them on I realize some of them are out of style…oh well, when I get done, I will reward myself with some new suits! Alteration costs are killing my…lol. I took some trousers in to be taken in and by the time I picked them up, they were loose again. I plan on updating my life insurance (need to get some more, but have been waiting until I was in better shape).

My name is Donna Syphers, 38 years old, full-time Product Manager, wife with a house full of chores and mother of 2 kids (3 ½ yrs and 11 months).
I really enjoy cooking, every types of food and eating, every types of food with my friends and family.
I mostly love rice, noodles, sweets and bread. And, I LOVE having wine at dinner with my husband. I am not special or different than most women.
While we were dating and after we got married, my husband and I always lived a very “worried free” life style.
We ate and drank whatever we want, whenever we wanted because we have always been skinny people.
We would talk about eating less and working out more but they were mostly conversations.
2 kids later, I am now in my late 30’s and I was at 143 lbs after my 2nd child was born. My eating habits are now even worse, I was use to “pregnancy eating”.
I was very uncomfortable in my clothes and very unhappy. My clothes were always baggy in the front so I could hide my big belly. I’m sure most ladies can relate to this.
With a determination lose weight, I would try to eat well for a week then right back to the same horrible eating habits.
It was when I saw my friend Jeni’s posts on FB about 12WFC and Scott Perry I was EVEN MORE determined to lose weight.
I think it was the word “challenge” that got my attention the most.
So desperate for help, I reached out and got more information from Josh Boyd.
I remember very clearly of the 1st time I spoke to Josh on the phone about 12WFC.
He was full of nutrition knowledge, extremely patience and abundant of enthusiasm.
After 30 minutes conversation with Josh, I knew this was it, this is where I am going to succeed.
12WFC is not just about losing weight, they have taught me a BRAND NEW LIFESTYLE; how to eat real nutritional food and workouts that provide results. There are no magic pills.
My husband and I truly embraced this new lifestyle as it has made us better parents and partners. We have a lot more energy for the kids and much more patience and understanding with other.
What’s most special to me about 12WFC is once you are in the challenge, you automatically become part of a 12WFC family/community.
People with the same goals (living a healthy lifestyle) and always there to support one another. Always very positive encouragement but will also hold one another accountable.
Josh is an exceptional motivator and Scott Perry is an extreme talent at fitness. With these 2 leading, you are only set up for success.
At the end of my challenge, I loss 17lbs, 14 inches and currently at 14.08% body fat. Still challenging myself daily to working out with Scott Perry and eat clean. The really challenge is keeping this wonderful lifestyle going for the rest of my life. Which I am so very determined to do so for my kids and my grandkids and hope to see my great grandkids too!
Challenge yourself, you will be amazed of what your determination, strong will and body are capable of. You will be in the best shape of your life!

I would like to tell you about my life changing journey with the 12 Week Fitness Challenge.
My story begins at the end of 2008. At this time I made a decision that I really wanted to get back into shape. I had let myself go over the years with a poor diet, eating fast food and not even exercising one bit. I told myself that I didn’t have the time to exercise and being the fulltime father of 2, I couldn’t make the time to eat properly. In my head I thought it was easier to just pick up take out or drive-through each day for myself and the family. Something came over me and I started thinking about my responsibility as a father and that I should be setting a better example for my family. This really tugged at my heart strings as I looked at my children and imagined their lives being one of obesity and potential health risks. That’s all I needed to imagine! I began exercising in Nov of 2008 but didn’t really know about the “Nutrition” part and how vital it was to REALLY lose weight. I quickly found out, I was going to the gym every day and I lose some weight but not the amount I really wanted to.
I got together with the staff at 12 Week Fitness Challenge and they convinced me to join the next 12 Week Fitness Challenge. Talk about a complete package and system. Just the beginning process really opened my eyes. Instead of stepping on the Scale I had my Body Fat Tested! I never even heard of Body Fat Testing so in January of 2009 these were my results:
Initial Body Fat %: 24.6%
Starting Weight: 231 pounds
Lean Body Mass: 174 pounds
Body Fat: 57 pounds
I consulted with the 12WFC and we put a plan, together. I felt like I had a team behind me cheering me on as I started this new chapter in my life! I felt a sense of possible accomplishment so my goal at the time was to get below 15% body fat. I was very serious about my plan, I wasn’t sure what it would take to get to 15% but I knew I didn’t want to fail. I did weight training and cardio at least 5 days a week and stuck to my nutrition plan. The first 2 weeks of eating clean was tough because you obviously have to eliminate some things you love to eat, but after that I found that I didn’t even miss those foods.
I never stepped on a scale during the whole challenge, I just paid attention to how my clothes where fitting and how my body was changing in the mirror. Within the first 4 Weeks I could see a huge difference in the way I looked and more importantly in the way I felt. My energy levels where sky high throughout the day and I was feeling the effects of living this healthy lifestyle that 12WFC always talked about. It was addicting!! So I kept at it for the next 8 Weeks. On the last day when I was to get my Body Fat tested, I was very nervous. I hadn’t stepped on a scale in the entire 12 Weeks. I could see my body had changed dramatically but I didn’t know what to expect with my Final Body Fat test. My final results are below.
Ending Body Fat %: 8.6%
Ending Weight: 205 pounds
Lean Body Mass: 188 pounds
Body Fat: 17 pounds
The results where incredible!! I had lost 40 pounds of FAT while adding 14 Lbs of muscle! This was beyond my expectations. I told my story to everyone, including 24 Hour Fitness. They were so inspired that they made me one of their fitness models and spokesman because of my amazing body transformation.
It’s amazing what the 12 Week Fitness Challenge can do for you. I can’t thank the folks at 12WFC enough, you saved my life!

I have always struggled with my weight ever since I was child. I was never totally obese, but I have always been overweight and just learned to just accept that I would always be that way.
In April 2012, I made a decision to change my daily eating habits and to start exercising. It’s funny that simple little changes helped me gain so much success, so much that I lost 40 pounds in 4 months.
Then, like many people do, I hit a plateau. I didn’t know what to change or what I was doing wrong.
I was skinnier but I realized that I had no muscle and I was still considered “Skinny Fat”.
That's when I heard about 12 Week Fitness Challenge and Scott Perry!
I have multiple gym memberships, tried all the Boot Camps and Crossfits and I never enjoyed any of them and didn’t even last more than a week. Either it was because there was no specific daily plan or the community wasn’t right for me.
The first day I met Scott and trained with him I knew he was going to change my life forever. That was it! I just needed one class of the Fitness ReDefined series and I signed up right then and there! I have been taking the Fitness ReDefined classes for over 4 months now and I couldn't be happier with my decision!
I am in the best shape of my life, I am the strongest I have EVER been and I look forward to going to the workouts that Scott has designed every day! If you want a company and trainers who genuinely are interested in bettering your life, don’t waste any more time and get over to the 12WFC Fitness Center or Join the 12 Week Fitness Challenge online.
Thanks 12WFC and Scott Perry

This story is a difficult one to write because for the past 6 years, it has been a source of shame for me. Having a husband who successfully works in the fitness industry, I have always avoided telling this story in fear that somehow it would discredit him in some way. My hope is that this will motivate you instead.
In 2007, after having been recently married, I came home from a doctor’s visit to painfully tell my new husband that I would not be able to give him any children. After receiving four different opinions (most of which were by doctors who wanted to push antidepressants on me), I was successfully diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Although considered to be a very common disease among women in the country, my condition was exacerbated by the fact that diabetes, high-blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease ran rampant in my family history. Some of my visible symptoms were hair loss, unexplained weight gain despite vigorous exercise, cystic acne and a really thick midsection that I tried to cover up with flowy tops, and large sweaters. Internally, my cholesterol and triglycerides were off-the-charts. In short, I had the blood work of an obese woman (At 5’3” and 128 pounds, “obese” is hardly what I looked like). I thought I found the answer to these problems: medication. The medication prescribed to me helped my visible symptoms immensely. The hair grew back, the weight came off, the acne cleared, and at one time, I wore tight-fitting clothes every day to display my new svelte body. And miraculously, I even got pregnant! Though my negative visible symptoms were eradicated, there was no improvement in my blood work. And the side effects of the meds were nasty: daily diarrhea, constant bloating, and fatigue. If I went a day without it, I would have multiple fainting spells. For 6 years I dealt with the disgusting side effects, thinking I had no choice but to tolerate it. I was afraid of fainting, and I was afraid what would happen to my body if I didn’t take the meds. If taking it made me skinny, not taking it would surely make me fat!
In November of 2012, after reviewing my most recent blood work, my doctor gave me grave news: that in 2 months time, I would have full-blown Metabolic Syndrome if I didn’t do anything to stop it. Unfortunately, she gave me nothing new to do, except to take extra Omega-3 supplements. I was lost.
I was introduced to the Metabolic Detoxification Program by 12WFC in May of 2012---the month I turned 30. I said I wanted a change and wanted my 30’s to be “the best ever.” Well, I did nothing with the detox until I received the news about my health 6 months later. I was desperate and knew that the only thing that could help me was if I kick-started my Metabolism again and then continued with an Eat-Clean lifestyle thereafter. This meant that I needed to make a change; a decision so drastic that once made, I had to resolve not to look back again. I decided that for the sake of my health, and my family, I would follow the Detox to a tee. If it didn’t work, I would just wash my hands of it and simply move on. After all, it’s only 10 days of investment out of my life, right?
Well, it worked.
In January 2013, I started my 10-Day Metabolic Detox, and I have not regretted doing so. Just sticking to the recommended list of foods, and ingesting the macronutrient supplements has changed my body. From a size 4 and 122 pounds, I went down to a Size 00 (yes, that’s a Double-Zero) and 109 pounds (my true “normal”) in just 10 days. Most importantly, my blood work have all come back to show optimal levels, and because of such a drastic change with my metabolic panel, my doctor suggested I STOP all medications, provided I continue to eliminate the foods that my body reacted so negatively to. I cannot thank 12WFC enough for changing my blood work, transforming my body, and revolutionizing my life. I am now fit to be a better wife to my husband, a better mother to my 3-year-old daughter, and a healthier person.

My name is Brookie Nelson. I am 24 years old and I recently finished my
first 12 Week Fitness Challenge.
I have been very athletic my entire life. Since the age of 6, I was an All Star
gymnast and competitive cheerleader on a USA team traveling the US for
competitions. At age 15, I was already being talked to about college
scholarships and being on a professional USA competition squad when I
graduated. My life plan was in place. From age 15 to 18, I had a series of
unfortunate accidents leading to 5 different right ankle reconstruction
surgeries. I was in a cast for over 2.5 years of my life. Going from an
extremely active lifestyle to being homeschooled and unable to walk caused
depression, muscle loss, and weight gain. After years of surgeries and physical
therapy, I tried dieting and working out to lose the weight. Nothing I did
would work. I tried all the 'magic' pills, fad diets, etc. I was starting to
give up, and then I found 12WFC. I emailed the CEO and Founder, Josh Boyd, and
was contacted by him almost immediately and soon after I started my 12WFC.
12 Week Fitness Challenge changed my life completely. I learned how to cook
healthy foods for myself and pack healthy portion controlled meals to take with
me wherever I went. I learned how to read nutritional labels and what
ingredients would help or halt my weight loss. I no longer crave 95% of the
foods I used to crave. If fact if I do try and eat a junk food I used to eat
regularly, my body physically feels upset because it does not want that junk
inside me anymore.
Working out 1 hour a day with my trainer, Scott Perry was amazing. Having such
a great trainer helped teach me the correct ways to do certain exercises,
taught me alternative exercises because of my weak ankle, and gave me the
motivation I needed to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Having Scott
Perry, Josh Boyd, and the 12WFC Community working out with me helped
tremendously in my success. They became my family. If I needed encouragement to
get my butt moving, they made sure to do that. If I lost weight or gained
muscle, they made sure to point out that they could notice the difference. I
was excited to go to my work outs because I was surrounded by people who truly
cared about me.
All in all, 12 Week Fitness Challenge changed my life. I lost weight, inches,
body fat percentage, excuses and bad habits. I gained muscle, knowledge, self-esteem,
friends and family. Not only do I enjoy eating healthy now, I enjoy working out
again. I recently completed a Spartan Race obstacle course. Not only did I
finish which I never could have done pre 12WFC, but I finished in the top 15
percentile of the 1000 men and women who competed. I will always be grateful to
Josh Boyd, Scott Perry, Derek Graham and the rest of the 12WFC family for
helping me change my life. I truly love you all!
Update February 11, 2013: I recently have torn the ligaments in both my ankles
and had to have surgery on both hamstrings and both ankles. I have been in two
leg casts for the past month and have another surgery and 6 more weeks of two
leg casts ahead of me. My biggest fear was gaining weight again, like I did
when I was in high school. I am so blessed to say that because of everything I
have learned from 12WFC, in the month I have been laying here with zero
walking, I have not gained a single pound. I don't know how I would have
survived this with my sanity intact, had I not been living the healthy lifestyle
I learned from 12WFC.v
